The past few months: An Adventure in Health Care and Home Repair!

So I know I've been out of touch for a few months but much has happened. After a change in medication, I ended up in the hospital for a week with a failing liver. Turns out the new "more gentle" medication I was switched too was not too gentle after all and I was highly allergic to it. Thank you to all my friends and family for your support, flowers, cards, expertly-crayola'ed pictures for Auntie Sara, and prayers. I am now feeling much better and my liver function panels show I am almost back to normal....or as normal as I ever was!

So since getting out of the hospital I am starting to feel better and Jay and I have entered into a time of great improvement...home improvement!

All in all, Jay and I are really proud of our work. Thanks to my dad for twenty years of tiling tutelage -- now I no longer regret the sacrificed Saturdays placed on the alter of ceramic tiling as a 12 year old in our houses in Texas and Utah. Jay, who had never tiled before we started has also learned a great deal, picking up the skill quickly and it has given both of us a great deal of new found confidence in home remodeling and improvement. We're going to need it...

Our current project is a beast, 1050 sq/ft of tiling for our dining room, living room, kitchen, and halls.
